The Organization
Mahatma Education Society's V.Pillai's Campus is built with a view to provide the requisite infrastructure of international standards for exhibitions, presentations, seminars for companies and organizations for their product presentations, sales and services. This is the first "event space" of its kind ever created by an education institute.
Being in the field of education for over 30 years, the pace of the society's growth is remarkable. Our objective is to provide a common platform where major industries, students and financial organizations can interact.
The Event
We are organizing a multi-faceted industrial interface titled VPILLAIS EXPO 2003 at our V.Pillai's Campus, New Panvel, focusing on Information Technology, Finance, Properties, Automobiles, Hospitality, Fashion, Education and other Sectors. This Expo covers a wide area from Navi Mumbai through Pune and entire of Raigad district. An exposure of this dimension is regularly available for the population within the metropolitan limits. But, areas like Navi Mumbai, that are developing at a rapid pace with 80 educational institutions and several major industries are deprived of such an exposure. Our initiative is to expose this untouched zone and bring it to the limelight for industry and urbanization.
Panvel-The point of Convergence
Panvel is the center point of the knowledge corridor proposed by the Government of Maharashtra spanning Mumbai and Pune. The proposed Konkan Railway Terminus and the International Airport are the vital projects underway in and within 5km range of Panvel, which is currently developing as the next hub of commercial and intellectual activity.
Potential
In addition to 300 various major and minor industries with 40 financial organizations, the strength of 30,000 students, coming from our own institutions and the students of 80 other colleges, is a substantial potential for the participants of this multi-dimensional exhibition. This novel venture is to help the institutions to be a part of the growing globalize academic and professional world. The proceeds of this exhibition will go towards the promotion of education.
